Our tenor ukulele"Firebird Noir" is the newest in our Firebird line, taken in a darker direction visually.
This one is built from a particularly rare set of koa that's been collected by our ohana and stored for over four decades. Tight, lively old-growth curly koa that is just gorgeous. As with our other Firebirds, the Firebird Noir is inspired by the recent Kilauea eruptions, a fun fact for interested players might be to hear that the ash falls right outside our woodshop doorstep!
This Firebird edition has a traditional hand-applied French polish shellac finish, Brazilian rosewood bridge, Schaller GrandTune tuners, Snakewood-bound fretboard, amboyna burl rosette, 3-ply headstock overlay, and black pearl/amboyna headstock inlay.
